Ralph Chapman

Adjunct Professor,
Victoria University of Wellington

Ralph Chapman has worked on climate change mitigation – ways to cut carbon emissions – since 1988, in the context of cities, transport, housing and urban planning. He’s also worked on environmental management and economics. He stepped down in 2021 after 16 years as Director of Environmental Studies at VUW. His current projects include the carbon footprint of public housing; and how to transition our cities to zero carbon.
